Top 10 Tropical Destinations To Visit In 2022

1. Grand Bahama

The Bahamas are pretty much synonymous with relaxation and gorgeous, and for good reason. Grand Bahama is no exception to this. Some popular activities include snorkeling, boating, and, of course, enjoying the stunning beaches. Travelers will be required to acquire a Travel Health Visa and provide a negative COVID-19 test. Quarantines are not currently in place for travelers who meet both of those requirements regardless of vaccination status.

2. Barbados

Barbados is a beautiful island home to rich and vibrant culture, amazing beaches, and no shortage of fun activities. Consider seeing sea life up close and personal by embarking on a submarine tour. Or get out of your comfort zone by to Harrison’s Cave which will give you the opportunity to traverse a stunning limestone cavern.

Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, unvaccinated travelers will be required to quarantine at an approved accommodation and take a test on the 5th day. Following a negative result, they will not have to quarantine.

3. Antigua

Some examples of activities you can look forward to include scuba diving, watching some gorgeous sunrises, or going shopping at the iconic Mallory Square.

If you are already in the U.S., travel to the Florida Keys is unrestricted. Out of country travelers must provide a negative COVID-19 test to enter the U.S. regardless of vaccination status. Additionally, the U.S. is currently restricting the entry of many unvaccinated travelers unless they fall under an exemption.

5. Jamaica

Jamaica is another Caribbean island that is home to both gorgeous beaches as well as lush rainforests. Winter and spring are often considered the best times to visit the island. Weather is typically milder and hurricane season (during the summer months) has not yet come. This makes this a great option for an early 2022 vacation or a holiday trip.

Jamaica has created “resilient corridors”. These are areas of the city where they are allowing tourists without quarantine or negative COVID-19 test. Vaccinated travelers can stay outside of these corridors if they provide a negative test. Jamaica is requiring that unvaccinated travelers stay at a hotel or resort within one of these areas or quarantine at home for 14 days.

6. Bora Bora

If you love scuba diving (or snorkeling) this is the option for you! Located near Tahiti, Bora Bora is a small island surrounded by gorgeous coral reefs. The island is also home to some amazing pink sands beaches.
